Romantic Restaurant in Stockbridge, MA area

We're celebrating our anniversary this summer. I'm looking for a romantic restaurant with excellent food in the Stockbridge, MA area.

Also, recommendations for local breweries would be greatly appreciated.

The Old Inn on the Green is a favorite. The chef/owner is Peter Platt who was the longtime chef de cuisine at The Wheatleigh. There are no local breweries or brewpubs in the area worth mentioning but if you are in the mood for very fresh domestic micro brews I would highly recommend Moe's Tavern and Beer Bar in Lee.

The Old Inn on the Green in New Marlborough (15 - 20 min away) definitley!!! A beautiful setting with nothing but candle light...excellent food. Beware of the Wheatleigh in Lenox where while the setting is pretty, the prices are ridiculously high and the food just doesn't justify

I agree completely about the Old Inn on the Green; it is exactly what one would want for an anniversary dinner for two.
I'm afraid that there is not much to be had in micro-breweries. Barrington Brewery is not very good but I'm not much of a beer drinker so I may not be the final word on the subject.

I too concur with hepsi's comments, about Old Inn on the Green -- which epitomizes both romance and excellence in food and wine -- and Wheatleigh.
