Best place for eggs w/Hollandaise in SF or within 20 miles

Just had a great meal at Bette's Ocean View Diner in Berkeley but there was no hollandaise for the egg dish -- where should I go?

  1. Mama's Royal Cafe on Broadway in Oakland. The hollandaise is the best I have ever tasted.

Janet: I went to Mama's Royal today and we all really enjoyed it. (It's incredible how hard it is to find hollandaise on menus now!)

Molly was a great server (she's been there 9 yrs, said a cook has been there 33 yrs -- that says a lot for the place.)

We got there after the noon rush so it was quiet, did not have to wait in line. We know we'll be back!

Canteen and Cafe de la presse both serve hollandaise on their eggs benedicte.
