Nanterre

Will be stuck for two evenings in July in Nanterre at the Mercure and am looking for worthwhile places to (1) enjoy a good glass of wine and a small bite and (2) possibly watch world cup games. These are not to be together. I'm sorry if I missed links here for places in the area, but I could not find them.

Closer to the city I intend to visit places like Le Baron Rouge, Le Verre Vale and Les Papilles to give you some idea of the type of place I am looking for (1).

Would a 45 min hike be too much; there's a nifty little place overlooking the river in Suresnes called Pere Lapin.
