Driving from DC to Boiling Springs - what route offers best food?

According to Google maps, I can drive from Dulles airport to Boiling Springs via 15/Gettysburg, or 67 & 81, through Hagerstown. Which route offers the best lunch options? If both are equal, then which is the prettiest drive?

I realize 15 is probably much faster, but we aren't in a big hurry and happy to see the scenery.

Any type of food is fine, although we live in SF and would love the chance to try local stuff we can't get back home. Big plus if it has great beer.

15 is certainly the better choice for scenery. For food, if you are driving up on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, Pomona's in Biglerville (north of Gettysburg, about 10 minutes from 15) is a wonderful choice. Sidney in East Berlin (also north of Gettysburg, other side of 15) is also very good. If you go to Pomona's, you can drive up to Boiling Springs on 34, which is very pretty, and it will take you past Sandoval Mexican Grocery, which has an outstanding taco stand outside.

Glad to do so. Adams County is a famous apple-growing region, and the taco stand is on the top of a hill in the middle of the apple farms. They have four or five kinds of tacos and Mexican soda. It's awesome.
