Mother India usually has good stuff, but sometimes is spotty. If you're a veggiehuevian a must stop is Masao's Kitchen. Even if you're not a vegetarian he has great stuff. And he's the poster boy for eating good food. He must be 80 and looks great and works six days a week. More power to him !

i've been enjoying take-out from taqueria el amigo on willow street. got take out from tom can cook recently - not impressed. bison county seems to be hit or miss, certainly not on par with blue ribbon in newton.

dominic's in waltham for good italian takeout (excellent sandwiches) - on the waltham/watertown border, Russo's for great deli sandwiches, decent hot food (chicken wings, soup), a good salad bar, great produce, cheese, etc.

Mexican - Taqueria Mexico or Tacqueria El Amigo

Thai - Tree Top Thai

Chinese - I haven't had any really good chinese takeout since I left the NY/NJ area - still haven't tried Beijing Star yet which gets good reviews here.

Pizza - Franco's is the best italian style pizza I've had in the area - but we usually order from Sabatino's for delivery (and my wife likes their meatball subs).

I would like to know if anyone knows of any decent sicilian style pizza in the area?

Pinocchio's in Harvard Square for Sicilian pizza.
Mike's in Davis Square does (or used to) an OK Sicilian, although I haven't had it in years.

Upper Crust makes a pretty solid pie, but if Blue Ribbon is close enough, I think Sweet Tomatoes is better and right around the corner. Second Taqueria El Amigo,a real gem. I too have read good things about Beijing Star on this board, but outside of the "tea smoked duck" my personal results have been pretty mediocre to awful.

imperial pizza in brighton does a creditable sicilian. if you can get the older pizzaiolo with the glasses to make it you are better off, ask for it well done and keep the toppings at two or less. my go-to, sausage and onions comes in around 14 bucks and feeds six.

we went to a graduation party on Saturday, which had Blue Ribbon. Got there at 2, for lunch. At 7 we were still there and had it for dinner, too.

They wouldn't let me sleep over, so I can't say how it is for breakfast, but the other two meals were pretty damn good.
