Need a hot, crispy waffle, as close to Westwood as possible. A Belgian one is fine.

Just an FYI - Which is just another way of saying I've never had it there, or any breakfast there for that matter; however, you did state a preference for Belgian.

Le Pain Quotidien - Westwood Village - has a Belgian Sugar Waffle:

Nosh, if you can hold off until Saturday or Sunday then Bite Bar & Bakery along Santa Monica's eastern border is the place you want.

Second Servorg's rec on Bite. All day Saturday and Sunday. Yeast-raised dough makes this waffle really light - crispy and sturdy on the outside, moist and sweet with a bit of tang on the inside.

I just love the waffles at Bite. Better than my own. So the secret is the yeast?

We've had better results with a yeast-raised batter when at home - not as good as Bite - but better. Not as good as Bite - but better. :)

but i think they had a pre-real dinner service a few nites ago at bite bar too.
