We have been visiting London for many years. It's time for us to update where we go to eat. Chowhounders, please help us with telling your favorite London restaurants and tried & true.

We love fish/seafood, middle eastern, indian (whether it's a hole in the wall type place or upscale)...and are open to other types of food. One of us does not eat red meat, game, but will eat poultry, fish. The other will eat any/everything. Price isn't important, just that it's good food and an enjoyable atmosphere.

Thanks Chowhounders!

I recently had dinners at The Ledbury, Texture and Harwood Arms. Each was excellent and each was of a type that is not typical where I live (NYC).

I am assuming you are Americans, but I don't know why except that I am, too, but now live in the UK. When relatives or friends come to visit, I try to think of places that are different than what we find in the States. Maze usually fits the bill - small portions, tapas-like and very tasty. I like Ishbilia for excellent Lebanese food - elegant in a subdued way and it won't break the bank.

As John above said, everyone's taste is different. Scroll down aways and see what's hot right now.

Simply scrolling through recent pages will find you the most recent recommendations.

Frankly, there's little point simply listing places that suit me when you have absolutely no idea if my idea of a good place is your idea of a good place.
