breakfast suggestions in montreal

Me again. Looking for suggestions in Old Montreal for breakfast. Not only Olive et Gourmando. Actually, I'm married to a bacon & eggs sort of guy, so I'd like to find a place he'd be happy with for at least one morning or two. I've read about Bagel, Etc. and Eggspectations. Are they decent? Anything other than Olive et Gourmando that we could easily walk to from Springhill Suites on Saint-Jean-Baptiste?
Thanks everyone.

It might already be in one of the links, but I like l'Avenue on Mont-Royal street.
      922, avenue du Mont-Royal Est
      The Eggs benedict are great!

        Hi Shopgirl,

If you're determined to have breakfast in Old Montreal, then my suggestion is Le Cartet. It's got good energy, tasty eats and even a mini grocery store in the front!

No, not necessary we stay in Old Montreal for breakfast, we will have a car. Just thought it might be easier. Thanks for the suggestions!

Hi there, try these threads - they have some good suggestions and address the Eggspectations issue. Bagel, Etc. is not in Old Montreal - nor within walking distance - AFAIK. Happy eating!
