Solo dining at Marque?

Anyone have any thoughts on dining alone at Marque? Looking for the full tasting menu.

I did. Wait-staff talked quite a bit to me, seeing I was alone. But all-in-all, very professional service, and some of the best food I'd tasted in Sydney.

As in awkwardness factor? Could be a little weird I suppose. It's a pretty formal restaurant and a fairly intimate space. Having said that, it's well regarded as a "foodie's restaurant" so I don't think a solo diner will be that out of place. If you're not self-conscious I say go for it. The food's worth it.

Just do it. Give them a call. All they can do is say no. I ate at Tetsuya recently on my own and no-one minded. Very pleasant.

Thanks. Just moved close by and wanted to try it. Wanted to make sure they wouldn't rush a solo diner or anything like that. Hoping service doesn't suffer as it does in some places with just one.
