I'm currently North of Venice in Udine and setting off on a trip along the eastern seaboard down to Lecce. Most of Italy's well known tourist destinations are along the west coast, so I ask, what dining recommendations do you have for the heel of the boot, and are there any must-eats along the way? The major cities we pass through are Bari, Brindisi, and some smaller cities such as Ravenna, Ancona and Pescara.

when you get just past bari, stop at da tuccino in polignano a mare then grab dessert (granita, of course) at super mago del gelo in piazza garibaldi.
