Italian recs wanted - pops birthday, loves meat sauce
It's my dad's birthday at the end of the month and I'm asking for help in finding an italian restaurant that makes a meaty, meat sauce. Looking around the west end or downton and in price range of about twenty bucks per plate.

I had a rather good trad Italian meal at a place called La Scala, in Mississauga at 2601 Matheson East. Royal York and Bloor is choc-a-block with Italian restaurants Personally, I don't like Vibo, but people do. There's another newish place on Royal York, west side, just north of Bloor - can't remember the name: huge LOUD room, but it's run by a great family who've been involved in Italian restaurants around T.O for decades, and the food is good, better than ViBo I think.
