Four days in July - how's my itinerary?

My wife and I are planning our first trip to New Orleans in July and I am looking for critiques/advice on our plans. The way I see it, this is our first time, we might as well hit the institutions, touristy or not.

The following is our itinerary for meals (between meal 'drop ins' like Felix's or Cafe du Monde we're just going to hit when we walk past):

Sunday
Dinner - "arrival" at 3:30 pm. We're taking Amtrak, so I'm hesitant to make a reservation anywhere in case we pull in at midnight. The plan is to play it by ear and wander a bit - oysters, po'boys, cocktails, and the like.

Monday
Lunch - Mila
Dinner - NOLA

Tuesday
Lunch - New Orleans Cooking School
Dinner - Bayona

Wednesday
Lunch - Antoine's
Dinner - Commander's Palace

Thursday
Either breakfast at Brennan's or lunch at Central Grocery (or both)
Depart at 1:45

Thoughts?

Antoine's and Commanders on the same day might be pushing it. Personally, not a big fan of NOLA, to me everyone was just a little too skilled at Emeril speak from their corporate training seminar. People seem to flock their because it arguably has "local" cuisine.

Ate recently at the Bon Ton and I was just floored. Easily one of the most enjoyable times/meals I have had in a while. Anyway, other options would be Cuvee, Herbsaint, or Iris if you don't want to leave the quarter. Also Stella and probably 5 or six I am forgetting.

Go to Galatoire's Sunday night. You can get in. It's hot. Have lunch at Bon Ton and Domenica. Scratch NOLA go to Emeril's. Scratch Antoine's have lunch at Mr. B's or Luke. Brennan's outshines Central. Have a nice trip.

Go to Commander's for lunch instead of Antoine's, definitely.

For dinner that night go to K Paul's.

Sneak in a shared bbq shrimp at the bar at Mr B's at some point.

If you go to Galatoire's make sure you bring a jacket!

Go to Emeril's instead of NOLA. Commander's for lunch (in the garden room) instead of dinner. Early lunch at August instead of Brennan's. CG muffs travel well.

Skip Antoine's. If you want classic, go to Galatoire's. At least the food there is passable. I'd go to Emeril's before I went to Nola, but nola's not bad. Everything else looks fine.
