good place to watch hockey in Quebec City?

If it was the Stanley Cup Finals my husband were looking for, this would probably be easy. However, we are AHL Hershey Bears fans and my husband will be missing Wednesday night's Calder Cup finals game while in Quebec City for work. It is being televised, but I don't even know if that will include Canada - it will be on a regional sports channel and will be carried by our satellite providers (Direct TV and Dish Network) anywhere in the US that pays for the sports package. Any hockey fans out there that can help him out? He is staying at L'Auberge Saint Pierre in Vieux Port. I know this is a long shot, but thanks.

  1. Surprisingly, this game does not appear to be broadcast in Canada, and I would not be too optimistic about finding a bar in Quebec City that has taken the trouble to get a feed, especially with a Stanley Cup game that night.

However, the game is available online on-demand (via, so failing a better solution, one fallback would be to stay in and stream it on his computer.

    1. Folks, we've deleted a couple of posts that solely discuss which television broadcasters/cablecasters/satellite providers carry or don't carry specific sports events, as they are off-topic for Chowhound. Thanks for your help.

      1. that is a very long shot. unlikely that game will be broadcast in any bar or resto. go bears!
