Top Restaurants that know their ingredients
Coming to Atlanta for a sports competition. Son has a severe tree nut and sesame allergy.
Need 5 dinners in the downtown, inman and midtown area where the kitchen knows their stuff.
No ethnic like Thai, Chinese or Vietnmanese (too many allergens).
Been to Rathbuns in the past and were underwhelmed.
Price is not an issue (we 're from NYC, and know high prices)
Is One still good? How about Sotto Sotto?
Name your favorite Italian.
Thanks all

Sotto Sotto is a good choice. Antica Posta is another top Italian spot, although it's in Buckhead.
Repast (although some Japanese influences)
Shaun's
4th and Swift
I've heard good things about Max's downtown for pizza, wood-fired stuff, beerCakes and Ale and Woodfire are great suggestions although not in your neighborhood designation.

Bacchanalia on Howell Mill has accomodated my special diet requests before. They KNOW their ingredients. I would also say other farm-to-table spots like Cakes & Ale in Decatur and Woodfire Grill would be good bets.
For Italian, the new fun place is La Pietra Cucina. I don't think Atlanta has many great Italian spots but this has gotten great reviews. We liked it.
