Richmond, VA and surrounding area

Headed to Richmond the end of this month, June 28-July 1st. I will also be in the Blacksburg area for a couple days. I was wondering what restaurants/foods I can't miss while I am there.

These are all good recommendations. I would add Edo's Squid as well. And for Indian food, Anoaka in Short Pump is AMAZING.

i love comfort, six burner, and acacia. thought kuba kuba was ok but acknowledge that cuban food isn't my favorite. cute though.

Originally from Ohio, just moved to Atlanta for a job. I'm open to trying anything and just want to experience anything unique or great that Richmond has to offer.

excellent! :) i'm an ohio girl myself. live here now. my brother's in atl.

i love the one's i mentioned below - if you haven't had a lot of southern food yet i'd do comfort and i've LOVED the tasting menu at six burner - and anokha and sensi. black sheep for breakfast. the new restaurants at the VMFA are supposed to be great (the old one was!) and the museum should be worth checking out too.
