Red Chilis anywhere in Hampton Roads?

I love Jamie Oliver and practically all of his recipes include a "red chilli" pepper, which I'm sure is perfectly clear to British cooks but around here I don't know what to use and where to find it - have only been able to find jalapenos, serranos, poblanos and various dried peppers locally. I could probably use dried red pepper flakes but the texture wouldn't be the same. Thanks!

Thank you for your email.

Jamie doesn't specify which chillies to use as he likes to leave it open to the individual's personal taste. Some people are very sensitive to chilli and others are real 'heat fiends' and so by specifying a type of chilli Jamie would only be satisfying a much smaller market.

I found Thai red chiles at World Market in Newport News until I found Grand Mart on Newtown Road in Virginia Beach. The have TONS of variety in peppers, so I would definitely try there.
