Bachelor party dinner

I'm heading to Boston from Philly for a bachelor party on Thurs., July 15th. The aim is to have an early dinner (finish around 6:30) in order to get to a Sox game. I'm afraid that other people don't share my opinion that the dinner should be the highlight of the evening. Can anyone recommend anything that's within reasonable distance of Fenway, would please non-adventurous eaters, would be relatively inexpensive ($20-30/person, and would still feel special? I think there are 14 people going.

E/S is great I have some solid reports about church with new chef in place

    2. I've been to a large graduation party at Burtons Grill, which is right around the corner from Fenway. They have a wide variety of food with a focus on steaks and seafood and I believe their prices will fit your range.

Never been impressed with Burton's, and the one group meal I had there ended up much more expensive than $20-30 pp, especially with drinks. Eastern Standard is great, as well as Brasserie Jo, who can accomodate groups, and is a bit further away from Fenway, but still walkably close.

I love Brasserie Jo, but it will be way more than $20-$30/person. La Verdad on Landsdown might be a good fit- but you'd definitely need to contact them in advance to make sure they can take a party that big on a game day. Good and reasonably priced Mexican food with tons of tequila selections.

It will be closer to $20-30 than #9 Park would be. We ate at Brassarie Jo Sun night, and I had an excellent Charcuterie plate to start, and the steak frites, for $38. La Verdad is an excellent suggestion.

Yes, the prices at Brasserie Jo are pretty reasonable for the area. I'm assuming $20-$30 a person is for food only. If it includes drinks, then you are really looking at a pub-type place for burgers, etc.

        1. I think Eastern Standard is the place. 5 minute walk from Fenway. Make reservations right now. It will be packed on a game day.

          1. Dillon's is good - very casual atmosphere but the food fits everyone's tastes
Yes, definitely make a reservation at E/S now! It books up immediately on game nights
