I have a new job in Woburn/Burlington area, where do I eat lunch??
If you're ranging afield and are on the Woburn side of that area, Mandarin Reading has a really excellent lunch buffet, right off the rotary at exit 40 on 128. Also Fred's Franks is on the other side of that rotary.

Mandarin Reading Restaurant

If it's barbecue you want, I'd encourage you to take the drive to Blue Ribbon in Arlington over Lester's.
The hard part of dining out in Burllington/Woburn is talking colleagues out of dragging you to crapholes like Chili's, Macaroni Grill, and Cafe Escadrille (one of the worst would-be-fancy, popular restaurants in Greater Boston, in my view)..
26 Cambridge St, Burlington, MA 01803
A couple more thoughts...
Marco's, downtown Woburn has excellent eggplant parm. subs.
Whole Foods has good food/w tables to eat at (no atmosphere)
Mesa, Woburn. Great little Mexican place.
A couple of Brazilian BBQ places downtown also, one is better than the other. Perhaps
someone knows which one.
Breakers on Winn St., excellent ice cream.
re: junior coyote
Actually, Tudo Na Brasa was the downtown Woburn weigh-your-plate Brazilian churrascaria I meant to cite above: I've had Gold Beef Grill on my list for a while, but haven't gotten there yet.
For Mesa, you must mean Masa, the second outlet of the South End's fancy, fun Southwestern restaurant. I've heard the Woburn outlet is very good, but I haven't been.

re: junior coyote
Despite appearances, it's not entirely chain restaurants out there. A few ideas, mostly not takeout:
Food court at the H-Mart, Burlington. Nice range of inexpensive options, though it helps to be adventurous. Good Korean, Korean/Chinese, Korean/Thai, Chinese, bakery, Japanese, and Indian options. It's a great Asian grocery store, too.
Sichuan Garden, N. Woburn. The real deal. Avoid the American-Chinese items on the menu, like most of the "lunch specials" menu; ask for the larger dinner menu.
New Jang Su, Burlington. Excellent Korean restaurant, especially the grill-table BBQ.
Churrascaria Rodeo, N. Woburn. Very good fixed-price, AYCE Brazilian BBQ joint.
Ginger, Bedford. Good, small, independent Japanese place.
Lanna Thai, N. Woburn. Respectable suburban Thai place in a cute diner setting.
Pho #1, N. Woburn. Decent if not transporting Vietnamese place with some Thai dishes.
Gold Beef Grill, Woburn Center. Very good weigh-your-plate Brazilian BBQ joint.
Jimmy's Family, Burlington. Good little old-time indie diner/lunch counter.
Ken's NY Deli, Bedford. Not extraordinary, but solid little Americanized deli, good sandwiches.
Roast Beef Roundup, N. Woburn. Good North Shore style roast beef sandwich place.
Burlington Jade, Burlington. Pretty okay American-Chinese takeout joint, fast and cheap and not gross.
La Cascia's, Burlington. Solid Italian bakery with good subs and sandwiches.
Blue Stove, upper level of Nordstrom's, Burlington Mall. Mostly small plates and ladies who lunch, but very good New American food, if a bit pricey.
Gourmet India, Burlington Mall food court. Mostly Punjabi, the best of a pretty grim bunch of food-court options.
Flatbread Co., Bedford. The best pizza for miles: gourmet, wood-oven, organic.
L'Andana, Burlington. Excellent, pricey fine-dining Italian, kind of a suburban version of Sorellina, more rustic, with bigger portions. Hideous from the outside -- looks like it used to be a discount furniture store -- but it's handsome inside.
Summer Winter, Burlington Marriott. A good New American hotel restaurant from the folks behind Arrows. Best way to dine here is to order five or six "small bites".
Capital Grill, Burlington. Typically dull luxury steakhouse format, but worth it when you want a quality $14 burger.
Fish House, Burlington. Your basic modest fried-seafood kind of place, a good value of its kind.
A little further afield:
The Pongal, N. Billerica. Extraordinary pan-regional Indian with a fantastic lunch buffet.
Sichuan Gourmet, Billerica. Another very authentic Sichuan place, even better than Sichuan Garden.

re: MC Slim JB
Great list! A few more:
The mall food court also has a Chick-fil-a which many like and are a bit rare around these parts.
Bedford House of beef - very good chicken kabob salads/subs, fried seafood, roast beef.
Neillios , Lexington- takeout sandwiches, daily grilled meat plates, salad bar. Takeout only. Be prepared for long lines. http://www.neillioscatering.com/carryout.htm
Bamboo, Bedford - certainly no match to the Sichuan options listed by MC Slim but if you want americanized-Chinese lunch buffet done very well, this is your best option. Definately dont want to try any of the Americanized options at the Sichuan places as mentioned, especially not the lunch "specials"
Bedford Farms, Bedford - Sometimes ice cream IS lunch.. Most flavors are Richardsons, some are their own. http://www.bedfordfarmsicecream.com/
Stop & Shop , Bedford - Salad-Bar. Sometimes for a light - quick takeout lunch we used to go to the good sized Salad bar at S&S. Can get expensive quick.
China Pearl, Woburn - I have only been for dimsum on weekends which is about 90% of what the unrelated Boston location is. Im told they do dimsum daily now too which i imagine is a few notches worse than weekends (is everywhere). Id avoid anything else but the dimsum could help a craving.
Ixtapa, Woburn, Mexican. Im not a huge Mexican food fan but many like this place. http://www.ixtapacantina.com/
Cafe Luigi, Bedford. Solid casual italian. very crowded, very loud. http://luigisbedford.com/
152 Great Rd Ste 2, Bedford, MA 01730
18 North Rd Ste 1, Bedford, MA 01730
