Very early Sunday dinner between Port Authority and Lincoln Center?
Looking for a place to have a decent meal in time to get to 5:45 movie at Lincoln Center (Walter Reade Theatre). Three of us will be meeting at Port Authority and the only place I can think of that is in between there and Lincoln Center is Puttanesca at 9th and 56th. Many other restaurants, but most are CLOSED Sundays until about 5pm. Italian, salads, new American, Indian almost anything keeping in mind that two of us are vegetarians and one dislikes Chinese food. Thanks

You should, of course, double check on the Sunday hours, but I believe one, or more, on this string can provide what you want: Cafe Fiorello, Josephina, La Boite en Bois, Landmarc (may not open 'till 4), P.J. Clarkes, and O'Neals. All are listed at www.menupages.com. And yes, even the last two can accomodate a good veggie hound! Please let us know what you decide and how it all works out; hope the flick is as good as the food.

re: Upperwestsider
Thanks, UWS.
I should have made it clearer that I was trying to exclude the Lincoln Center eateries ----- I like them when I have more leisure, here we were looking for something simpler and faster. And cheaper. So I think we will just keep our eyes peeled as we walk up.
I will post and let you know what we do choose, even if it's a pizza joint.

re: pbjluver
As the weather was so, so hot and a bit rainy, we hopped the subway instead of walking uptown, and then grabbed a quick meal at P.J. Clarke's. Although it's probably the least veggie friendly in the LC area, we managed with very basic salads and a vegetarian soup.
Thanks to all
