we have a mid-morning flight from the Seattle-Tacoma Airport... any decent breakfast recommendations around here?

I wish I did...I've lived in the neighborhood for over ten years and I still have yet to find a really good breakfast place. Dave's Diner, on 188th just west of International Boulevard, is about the best I've found. It's decent but nothing to write home about.

If you're willing to go a little further afield and you're coming from the north or east anyway, I'd recommend Geraldine's Counter on Rainier Avenue in Columbia City. Now THAT'S a good breakfast--amazing biscuits and gravy, great omelets, really tasty house-made salsa

We've always enjoyed Pancake Chef, 15215 Military Rd S, within easy view of Highway99 (International Boulevard). A time machine; the waitress will call you "hon." Fresh squeezed OJ (get a pitcher)

I second the Pancake Chef and suggest you try their German pancake. (And be hungry.)
