Burmese Food in union city (weekend only)
re: Melanie Wong
haven't try the food yet. went over to get "Quee pyant" sweet and salted one. a lot of order from the burmese community in Los Angeles. he was woorking over time to fill order especially duck pastries/ chicken pastries. the new owner had been there for one year. he learned from the previous owner, who retired after 20 year. i have to go back again for the pastries. it won't taste as good as back home, for they used a lot of lard to make pastries there.
Thanks, please keep us posted. I don't think I've had any Chinese pastries with duck in them. Is the new owner Hokkien from Burma?
I hated the two things I bought there in 2007, but I'm willing to give it another try, if there's something special that I missed.
I don't remember much about it. Is there seating or to-go only?
