BRUNCHY/LUNCHY IN LONG BEACH ON SUNDAY
I'm meeting a friend from the UK on Sunday and we have to stay in the Long Beach area. Any good brunch or lunch suggestions?
TIA!

If you want elegance and ambiance, the Queen Mary is a top tier choice of venue.

http://www.queenmary.comChampagne Sunday Brunch Buffet at Sir Winston’s aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach is from 9:30-2:00. $39.00 plus tax & tip. Food and service are very good, but it’s more about the overall experience. Follow it up with a tour of the ship. Great if you haven’t done it before. Don’t forget to bring your camera.

Go for the slow roasted pork scramble with apple brandy sauce, the goat cheese and mushroom scramble or the Broiled (that’s right) San Francisco Stuffed Toast - French toast stuffed with mascarpone and crème fraiche. Mine was topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream – OMG!Jongewaard's Bake N Broil

The spinach and cheese omelet is exceptional as is the quiche. They also make one of the best chicken pot pies I’ve tasted – killer crust! Their French toast, pancakes, muffins, cakes and pies are scrumptious – choose a piece or two to go for later. Be sure to check-out the Specials Board. I really wish this place were closer to home.-----
