Mexi Casa Anaheim

Not haute cuisine, but very cheap. Combinations are $3.50. So you get an enchilada and shredded beef taco, with rice and beans: a plateful of food for .... $3.50. In fact, I don't remember anything on the menu for over $4.00. And there are a number of items under $3.00. It's served on real plates, at a sit-down, fully-served table.

Pitchers of beer are $5.00. Single beers are $1.50.

Lunch for 3, including sodas was $14, including tax. I've paid more than that for just my own lunch.

As far as quality, the hard shell shredded beef taco wasn't bad. The cheese enchilada could have been hotter, and their salsa wasn't as spicy as I like it; but given the price, I have no basis to complain. I'll definitely be back and start trying the other items on the menu.

  1. I agree, this place is cheap. It's so brown and dark inside though, and sometimes the servers are mean and/or not in a servicing mood. But for the price, Mexi Casa rocks. It's like a sit down, nicer Taco Bell with real ingredients, and beer.

Their chips and salsa are also really good.
