It's Greek to Me has a great patio and I understand a great bar (I don't drink much). Food is OK.

I also like the little patio at El Norteno on 40th and Lake, beer only and I admit the food has not been as great as I thought it used to be. It is an ever so pleasant space with the nicest people running the place.

Joe's Garage is a great deck/patio and the bar food is not bad.

There seems to be an explosion of outside space this summer. Please let us know what else new and exciting you find.

The patio at Greek to me is fabulous. There's also a rooftop patio across the street at Moto-i. The food the is remarkably average but I hear the patio is nice.

Maynard's and Lord Fletcher's patios are always great if you don't mind the drive.

Heck, I can walk to Maynard's and Lord Fletcher's. ;) I agree. The people watching, boat watching and view is unmatched. I could add Lola's Lakehouse in Waconia on Lake Waconia to that list. On weekends for an excellent burger, Casablanca in Tonka Bay is fun and relaxing.

My overall vote goes to Lord Fletcher's Wharf on "Manic Mondays" where you can get a $4 half-pound grilled burger and a $1.75 Miller beer and watch the parade of boats go by.

I like the little patio, flowers, and fountain at Swede Hollow-they always have yummy lunch specials...

Woops! I misstyped. I was referring to the Caribbean Restaurant at the Marina, 110 Sunset, Tonka Bay, MN

I must have had a "Bogey" moment. ;)

                      1. re: Davydd

What hours are they open? I've heard that they were going to open for a few years but didn't realise that they had.

                        1. re: ibew292

Last year the Caribbean was only open on weekends during the summer boating season. I haven't checked to see what the status is this year. They grilled a huge burger outdoors on the wharf.

I would be remiss in not adding Bayside Grille in Excelsior to this list. It is right next door to Maynard's tucked behind the Bayview Events Center so you sometimes forget it is there. They have a very large outdoor patio with two outdoor bars and a fairly extensive menu. We had Walleye wraps, Walleye sandwiches and Philly Cheesesteaks last night. The place was packed as was Maynard's next door on a perfect summer night.

              2. Not the best, necessarily, but a few more outdoor dining options...
