Happy Hour Recommendations in Pasadena

I'm meeting friends for happy hour on Friday in Pasadena, and wondering if anyone has any good recommendation as to the where.....

We usually go to McCormick and Schmick's(sp?) but thought of trying out a new place this time.

Thanks in advance!

Let me chime in with a big positive vote for Bodega Wine Bar in Paseo Colorado. It's on upper level near PF Chang's. Really cool place, great outdoor seating (couches even) to people watch. Great happy hour specials, both liquid and food (pizza, olives, sandwiches, etc.) And they validate. Nice wait staff and if you get a hankering for Coldstone Creamery ice cream and a movie, you only have to walk a few hundred yards.

Thanks ChefLisa! I always see this place when I go to PF Chang's, and I totally forgot about it.....

We like going to the Yard House at Paseo mall -- 1/2 prices apps and 2.75 beer (3-6pm)

This might be a 'duh' question but I'll ask anyway--do they have a full bar at the yard house.....?

If you are looking for an Old Town happy hour, the Grubs think Sushi Roku's is 1st rate. Excellent bar menu & big drinks at great prices. It's on the Gordon Biersch plaza nr the Laemmele theaters. Find somewhere else to actually eat dinner -- the resto itself is very, um, annoying. Sushi cum Olive Garden.

Thanks for the advise--will try our best to stay away from their 'dinner' food.

I frequently go to Carmine's for Happy Hour. Great prices on food - bambino pizza (well done - my favorite) w/2 toppings around $3.75, bruscetta, buffalo wings and tenders (only get the hot), mozz sticks $1.75, calamari, all kinds of things at about 1/2 the price they normally charge. Whole restaurant menu is also available in the bar (great minestrone and lentil soups)! Different days, different drink specials - call to see which days have what. BTW, their lemondrop martini is to die for (real lemon juice).

If you go tomorrow you will most likely see me there! Be sure to order the pizza well done (SO good!) Their garlic bread w/ cheese is really good as well as their chicken tenders (Hot, extra saucy). Calamari is in a tempura-like batter, my friend craves their Bruchetta (served on thickly-sliced bread (a little different than other bruschettas out there, but GOOD) - she even puts it on her pizza. Like I said before, their soups are good. Stay away from the fries and the combo plate and order fried zucchini, onion rings, etc. separately. Hope you like it!! ;-)
