Nikos Tavera is a great suggestion. Mez is technically in Durham, but not very far from M'ville. I like Biaggi's on Cary Pkwy (perhaps moreso than other Triangle hounds and maybe cause I always walk to Henry's Gelato afterwards.)

Is Mez good? I've been meaning to try it? I haven't heard anything...

We like Mez - the guac and the shrimp ceviche are outstanding, and the food is overall very good. The only downside is that I think it's pricey for the amount of food that you get.

Capital City Chophouse is nice. They are located at Exit 284 off I 40 and open for lunch/dinner. They have several other stores in NC but I don't think they are a big national chain.

      Capital City Chophouse @ 151 Airgate Dr., Morrisville, NC 919 - 484 - 7721.

Just the other side of I 40 at Exit 284 is Texas Steakhouse and Saloon which is a national chain but I have found them to be nice, good food and fun. Have a nice night.

      Texas Steakhouse and Saloon @ 948 Airport Blvd., Morrisville, NC 919 - 468 - 7194.

How about Lebanese/Mediterranean? You could hit Neomonde but it isn't fancy or NIkos Taverna. Carmens for cuban food though at some point it does become a dance club. If you want fancy (and quite pricey), you can hit up Heron's though technically Cary it's really isn't that big of a difference.
