Simple Qs on Checchino dal 1887

I would like to make a reservation there as I am big into offal. However, my two travelling companions are not.

1) Do they have enough non-offal on the menu to please them?
2) What are prices like? I haven't seen any hard numbers anywhere.

I was there in September and am definitely not into offal and found LOTS of fantastic options. If I would have known about it at the time, I would have ordered the Buon Ricordo dishes so I could get the plate! Have a great time!

You and your party should be just fine. Plenty of choices on the menu, interesting ingredients and excellent quality so all should be quite satisfied and comfortable with the options offered on the menu.

Just to report back: I had the rigatoni con pajata, which was fantastic, and the arrosto misto, which I thought was far less flavorful and interesting (offal aside) than my friends' rabbit and involtini.

A meal at Checchino is usually between 50 and 60 euro unless you get heavily into the wine list, which is extensive.

It is definitely worth going if you don't eat offal, and has plenty of choice, including enough to feed a vegetarian (though no fish). Roman tradition is well represented at Checchino, and that includes a good deal more than offal.

They're not nearly as much of a foodie as I am -- to be honest, it's for me, and as long as they have a few choices to eat, they'll be fine. Is it only a set menu or are there a la carte options?
