San Sebastian - where to go for traditional Txangurro Donostia?

waxyjax Jun 3, 2010 03:08 PM

hey hounds!
i have 1 last day in San Sebastian. in between lunch at Akelarre and a few final pintxo joints i'd like to squeeze in a taste of traditional Txangurro Donostia. can anyone recommend a casual place that does it well? I saw recs for Casa Nicolas and Bodegon Alejandro but am not sure I'll have time for a full on sit-down dinner when I got goodbye pintxos to eat!

thanks :)

Txangurro is a "main course". You can do a not heavy meal in Casa Nicolasa: just 'Sopa de pescado' (fish soup) and txangurro.
