Momofoku

I'm trying to figure out what this restaurant (an its various branches) is all about. It seems super expensive (Ko said lunch was $125 and didn't even list what they were serving), but interesting. Any thoughts? I'm coming into the city from Baltimore for one night.

  1. What kind of food do you like? What's your price range? Where are you staying?

Differences between the Momofuku restaurants Noodle Bar, Ssam Bar, and Ko:

Note that this is pre-Milk Bar (their dessert take out) and Ma Peche, which is their upscale, Vietnamese influenced restaurant.

I like all food, I'm staying with a friend in Bay Ridge (coming into the city to walk around), and my price range is moderate (like the low end of moderate). I always tend to stay downtown when I actually get to the City, so I guess any suggestions would be great. Thank you in advance

I'd look at the menus online for Momofuku Noodle Bar and Momofuku Ssam Bar, and see if they appeal to you. For prices, check menupages.com. For photos of some of the more obscure dishes, check Flickr.com.

    2. For 1 night, I'd grab an early dinner at 5pm at Momofuku Ssam, then go to Momofuku Milk for dessert (and pick up some cookies to take home to Baltimore for yourself and friends), then grab a bowl or ramen + snacks at Momofuku Noodle late night (open till 2am Fri/Sat, till 11pm Sun-Thurs). Yes, I'm that much of a fan. ;)
