My husband and I will be in NYC for a taping of the Daily Show later this month and are looking for a decent place for lunch near the studio at 11th and W 52nd. Something casual and not too pricey. We'll be taking the train from Philly and most likely cabbing it to the studio. Any suggestons?

Daisy May's BBQ is on the corner of 11th & 46th.

For super casual Israeli, Azuri Cafe is fantastic. Not much by way of atmosphere, but fantastic food.

Heng 2 Thai (for Thai) is also very good and popular, and quite close.

        Il Melograno for Italian.

Print (in the new hotel Ink48) is great seasonal new american.

        Taboon for middle-terranean.

Wondee Siam, 53rd and 9th, for Thai (and it's BYO)

Uncle Nick's is low-key but serves very good food--on Ninth Avenue, between 50th and 51st Streets. (For a spectacle, order the Saganaki--flaming cheese.)

Wow, thanks everyone. So many good choices! We might have to eat before AND after. Have to check with hubby, but I'm leaning towards Daisy May's, Il Melograno, or Uncle Nick's. Although Taboon's menu sounds delish, but might be better for another time.
