Manhattan with kids- 3 and 7

OK, we're heading to the Big Apple from little ol' Durham, NC for 3 days in the end of June. Any great recs for family friendly places- we have a wild 3 year old and a well behaved 7 year old! We'll be on the UWS and Midtown mostly, but would like to eat with real NYers. Thanks for the help!

  1. Shake Shack

NYers dont love "wild 3 year olds" when they are eating.

    1. Give Serendipity a try for dinner/dessert. My kids loved it when they were younger and still talk about it. Dylan's Candy Bar is on the same block in case they don't get enough sugar!!

Oh yeah, we eat at Serendipity and Dylan's all the time!

UWS has a lot of child friendly options, if you search.

Thank you kathryn- I had searched before Memorial Day, but this new thread will be very helpful. And I understand no one likes wild 3 year olds-some days even I don't like him!- but I just put that in so no one would think we were looking for fancy places.

          1. take the subway to chinatown in manhattan its easy, and go eat at Great NY Noodletown. The kids can eat fried rice, whatever you think is appropriate and will get a blast as will you out of the hong kong (couldnt be more english friendly) atmosphere. you should get a ton of roast duck
