S. Vermont Restaurants

We will be visiting Arlington, VT (close to Manchester and Bennington) for a week. What restaurants would you recommend- both inexpensive and moderate. (We will have a well behaved 3 year old with us too).

  1. I have only tried 2 restaurants in the Wilmington area, along Rt. 9. That will be about a 40 min. drive for you, but being there for a week may be worth it...

Zuppardi's Apizza (Wilmington) - having grown up in New Haven, I was ecstatic to find out that this pizzeria (out of West Haven) opened in nearby VT. I just ate a pie on our way to NY last week, and it was great. My only gripe was it could have used less cheese, but otherwise, no pizza up this way could compare.

Wahoo's Eatery (Rt. 9 Wilmington) - a little stand on the side of the road. Eat at picnic tables outside. Great charbroiled burgers, and they even offer local grass-fed burgers too.

Sorry, that's all I've got! Have you checked the NY board as well? You're not going to be that far from Troy, Albany or Saratoga. Enjoy your trip!
