  1. The Schoolhouse at Cannondale is in Wilton and is excellent, but is about 20 minutes from New Canaan. Harvest Supper is in New Canaan and is also excellent. If you search this board, you will find tons of threads about both places.

      1. The Schoolhouse is fabulous. I've been to lunch there about 8 times in the past 6 months but never dinner. The service is friendly but very professional, food is locally sourced for the most part, beautifully prepared and presented and the room and site is lovely. Could not recommend it enough. They have a small but well chosen wine list. Please post what your dinner was like - love to hear.

Funny, we've been there for dinner probably over 30 times in the last few years, but never for lunch. I agree with all you said, great place.
Dinner menu is always 5 apps, 5 entrees...small, but we've never been disappointed in the options. He always has a cheese plate which is the best one I've ever seen. 5 different cheeses all with their own accompaniment, either fruit or nuts or honey, very thoughtful combinations. There is also always a foie app and usually a salad or soup, then maybe a pasta or gnocchi. For entrees there is usually a beef, pork, chicken or duck, a fish and then a pasta. Menu changes weekly. I find that anything he does with lobster is amazing. Short ribs in the winter are great. Pastas are always really nice too. I recently had a striped bass with lemon risotto. Top notch all around.
