Four of us will travel to Reno on a golf trek later this month. We want to be sure that we do not miss the better/more interesting (not necessarily from a cost perspective) restaurants in the area. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I'm a fan of El Tumi, a Peruvian restaurant. Search the board for reviews/photos.
775 Gastropub just opened at Meadowood Mall. Huge beer selection and good food.
I'm also a fan of 5th St. Bakehouse. I've posted on it.
I haven't been to Sezmu since it repened but that's a perennial favorite. It's more expensive than the other options I listed.
Best cheap Chinese is Oriental Express in Sparks.
SK Noodle in Sparks for Chinese and Vietnamese.
I also like the Thai restaurants Bangkok Cuisine and Thai Chili.
Reno is king of all-you-can-eat sushi. My favorite is Hiroba, but it's popular so go in the off hours.

Big Eds Alley Inn on E. 4th - great food, lively atmosphere. Looks like a dive from the outside, but don't let that deceive you - food is terrific. Steaks, lamb chops, scampi, baked potatoes, beans.

Thank YOU for the rec for Brickie's Tavern and the golfers might like it too. We've only had breafkast there so far but it was great.

Recently Reno was moved to the SW Board so you can look there for some recs. (I reported this so it will get moved.) We've eaten tapas twice recently at the Santa Fe Hotel which Steve Timko reviewed. Good, cheap and lots of fun.
