Westlake Village: Taco Truck Recommend

Hi, Everyone,

Looking for some taco truck catering recommendations for a picnic in July. I live in Pasadena and hired one for a birthday party (they were great). But I'm helping plan a party in Westlake Village and would love some local recommendations.

Are you looking for the big taco truck or a taco guy with a taco bar?

can you tell me which taco truck you hired for your birthday? I'm looking for one for a party next week in Pasadena. Thanks.

          I used Lety's:

          Lety's Catering
          323-353-8303 or 323-569-0558 Liz
3 of meat, 2 salsa, corn tortillas, limes, cilantro, onions, no guccamole. 4-5 tacos per person. They bring a grill, we provide plates. They come for 3 hours. They come 1 hour before.
What happens is they send a taco lady/guy to your house, with one of those portable cooktops. S/he provides red and green salsa, tortillas, onions, radishes and your choice of meat. They will also serve your guests. It is about $5-$6 per person

Do you prefer Lety's or El Tapatio?

            Try Taqueria El Tapatio 818-426-2508
They are in Woodland Hills but bring the taco catering out to Santa Clarita so I think they would bring it to Westlake, too.
They are EXCELLENT. Tacos and ALL the fixings for $8 per person--including servers and papergoods!!

Second Taqueria El Tapatio...love their al pastor and their horchata!
              Also, they are really nice!

I know it's been ages since I first started this thread, but I wanted to let you know that I did use Taqueria El Tapatio. They were AMAZING!!! And we paid extra to get the vat of horchata which was just divine.

I am glad to learn that you liked them...and their delicious horchata!
Months later -- I am still a big fan!

Does Westlake Village allow brown people? Me thinks that "taco truck" and "westlake" are two things that may not be lovin' one another. But there is always hope.

LOL. That was my first thought too. This is Westlake, so you're more likely to find sushi caterers than a taco truck. The poster below actually had a good idea about finding a truck in the Valley and see if they'll go to Westlake. There's always Oxnard. Santa Clarita is a bit far.

I strongly urge you to go to Latino Market on Thousand Oaks Blvd. This is my go to place when I want tacos in the area. The place rocks and it can all be had to go in quantity. Their meat rivals the best LA has to offer and they have the full monte of choices including birra, cabeza, carne asada etc... Of course it ain't a truck...
