Spring/Mercer/Broadway area
We'll be in this area over the weekend. First, what exactly is this neighborhood known as? Tribeca, SoHo, something else? Second and most important any type of food (no sushi please) that's good and under $20 each for lunch. All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Do note that many restaurants will be serving a weekend brunch menu that includes both breakfast-y and lunch-y dishes. You may also find some spots to have long lines of people waiting to brunch there.

I'm a big fan of the Calexico Carne Asada truck. It is on the corner of Wooster and Prince until about 4pm. They are known for their steak tacos - but I am a HUGE fan of their pulled pork as well.
NoHo Star is on LaFayette and Bleeker - they have great sandwiches and salads. They run a little Asian inspired but are not a sushi place. I'm a big fan of their open-face BLT with a fried egg and avocado.
Hummus Place on Macdougal is also very good - some of the best hummus in the city.

SoHo!
I love Boqueria on Spring Street- Spanish style tapas perfectly executed. They have great cured meats, lovely sandwiches and salads too. Yummy!
