Chef Ingram of Four Square (Durham) opening new restaurant in Meadowmont

This was sent to me by my wonderful girlfriend.

I look forward to his foray into Chapel Hill and hope that he can survive. Having been to Azure Grille once, I was not impressed by it. I don't really care about Five Guys coming closer.

  1. “There is a great food scene in Durham, but we’re going to bring it to Chapel Hill,”

Not sure how to take that. There are many really good places to eat in Chapel Hill.

This is true but there could always be more ;-) I don't think he meant it as a slant at Chapel Hill's scene.

maybe "bring it" means "show them [chapel hill] what we've got".

maybe his quote was “There is a great food scene in Durham, AND we’re going to bring it to Chapel Hill", and the magazine misquoted. who knows.

Very good point. Things can be taken out of context in print so easily. I really doubt he'd want to be offending any possible customers.

    2. I live here in Chapel Hill, and I'm excited about this new restaurant! I've eaten at Four Square once and it was great. I'm delighted to have Chef Ingram setting up here in Chapel Hill.

      1. Azure was just not a good restaurant at all. I am amazed it lasted as long as it did. I haven't been to Four Square - my husband has, knows my tastes and isn't a big fan (too fussy, he thinks). But heck, it has to be better than Azure.
I'm with LBD about the comment, I must say.
