Looking for good Indian in N. SFV

Anyone know where to get good or better Indian food in Granada Hills, Northridge, Chatsworth, Mission Hills area?

You might want to try Village Tandoori, 18530 Devonshire St., Northridge, located at he corner of Devonshire and Reseda, same shopping center at the Galleria Market. We have ony been there for lunch, and we really liked their food. Good service too. Good Tikka Massala chicken, and goat curry.

If you don't care about atmosphere, you can't beat the value at India Sweets and Spices, Topanga and Sherman. I can't recommend the Parthenia location, though -- housekeeping issues.

for a chinese guy, junjab palace was a great meal!

For good takeout, try Rocky's at Parthenia and Lindley, next to India Sweets and Spices. We love their biriyani (very authentic). We also love Punjab Palace on Nordoff Place between Tampa and Corbin. They have great north indian food. It's where we do all of our large parties (in their banquet room) and everyone we know always gets food catered from them as well. (we are North Indian so very picky about our indian food! LOL)

Rocky's is closed. I posted about it recently as it was my favorite Pakistani/Indian in the SFV but got no responses here, oh well. IS&S is expanding into the Rocky's space with a restaurant that WILL serve meat dishes.

Rocky's was my fave place to eat too. I just was out in the valley today and I went by for some great food and was DEVISTATED to see that it was closed. Does anyone know why or if it will reopen somewhere else?

The not very forthcomming folks at the IS&S told me that Rocky will be catering but I suspect that they forced Rocky out so that they could expand into his restaurant space. Rocky is a sweet man that served yummy chow and I miss him and his grub!!! I really hope that he re-opens somewhere!

If you like pure veggie there's "woodlands" in Chatsworth. I also think "shalimar" in Woodland Hills is sooo good. :)
