HELP Memorial Day
We just found out we need to take 12 Italians from the East Coast out for dinner. Early, as there is a 90 year old in the party. I tried Il Postino, my first choice for good food, but I think they are closed on Monday. Solare in LIberty Station is also closed. I need a place with easy parking, good but not too adventurous food, can accomodate 12-14 people. They are staying somewhere near the airport, so not too far out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. No Mexican as they had that last night....

Try Trattoria Antica - http://www.anticatrattoria.com/
It's not close to the airport, but it is a straight shot East on the I-8 and easily reachable; 10-12 minutes from the airport. Tons of free parking, can accomodate 12-14 people including oldsters. My mom and aunt are both over 90 and I've taken them there. It's easy for them to get in and out, you can park close to the front door...and they liked the food.

re: DiningDiva
THANKS!! We ended up with a reservation tonight at Il Postino--which was open after all. (They seems to have no website, no answering machine message, no days or hours listed on Yelp or any other site...)
Thanks for the suggestions tho--we'll keep them in mind and hopefully they helped someone else with unexpected relatives! :)

Jimmy's Famous American Tavern seems to be getting lots of good word of mouth. Close to the airport, can accommodate a crowd. Don't know if they're open today. Here's their menu: http://j-fat.com/?page_id=17
