I haven't found any really fantastic tres leches cake in Montreal - but as my Mexican-Canadian friend explained, there are so many different ways of making it, and I'm looking for Cuban-style that I remember from Miami, which is hard to find here. I'm also interested in the responses you may get.
I'm looking forward to trying the tres leches cake at Amaranto on Monkland, they didn't have it the night I was there but everything else I ate there was terrific.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Itacate has it but you have to order it ahead of time.

Mesa 14 on Bishop (right near Concordia) makes a great Tres Leches...but it can be a little hit or miss. I've had it about a dozen times over the last few years and I like twice it wasn't good, but other times it was great.
If you order it there, ask them if it's soaked long enough? Sometimes they take it out before it's ready.
Cheers

I think someone today told me about a Bakery on a street they thought was called Lafreniere (La Freniere?) that made an unbelievably good Tres Leche Cake....but I don't know that street. Anybody?

I have had wonderful things from les Delices Lafrenai but I'm not sure if they offer Tres Leches.

THAT's IT!!! Thank you soo much...I went on the website and it is definitely the place because the pop up pictures featured all the cakes that the bridal shower I had gone to had. The Tres Leche was probably a 'special order'...thanks again - u are great!
The pink decorated tiered cake btw was there too...and each layer was a different cake...each cake on the table at this event, and there were about 4, was delcious -
