Natural History Museum

My family and I are going to the Natural History Museum tomorrow. Anyone have any recs for a moderately priced lunch spot. Open to all types of foods.

Mo-Chica on grand is a great japanese/ peruvian restaurant that has counter service and is a relatively quick eat

Sorry I didn't read your request in time to give you a timely answer, but maybe this will help others: leave the museum, walk east past the rose garden, and eat at the Rose Garden Cafe in the Science Museum. Nothing fancy, but they have excellent, fresh-tasting sandwiches, salads and desserts. I volunteer at the NHM once a week, and we never eat in their cafe. If you're there on a week day, don't be dismayed by the throngs of school kids waiting in line for the Del Taco/Pizza Hut side, just walk right past them for the cafe proper.

If you get pressed for time, a temporary cafe recently reopened in downstairs. There was a decent soup and ham sandwich, better than I would have expected.

There are some great ideas in this recent post. I would second the recommendation for La Taquiza, but there are some other really interesting options mentioned.
