What do you get at Kimball's?

I've been going to Kimball Farms (in Westford and Carlisle) for ice cream for years, but I always seem to order the same thing–Raspberry Chocolate Chip. I need to try something different. What flavors are your favorites?

THis was one of our favorite stops for ice cream, especially when our son was young. We thought nothing of riding for 45 minutes to get there. Now, not so much. The smell from the fry tent was just horrible. It smelled like our son's clothes after he came home from working at the local fish and chip shop; the one who should have changed the oil more often.
My fave, the vanilla swiss almond still had lots and lots of chocolate covered almonds, but the ice cream around it was not as creamy, not as rich in butter fat as it was 5 years ago. Orange Pinapple was great years ago, acorrding to DC, but now it was just vanilla with an orange stripe in it.
We walked around the place, to see all the new entertainment, but if the ice cream isn't the "best ever" it, doesn't seem like it's worth the time and the gasoline to get there. Too bad, was one of our favorite food road trips ever. Sigh!

The oil is plenty fresh and we really like the fish & chips, onion rings etc.. Never had anything that had any signs of old oil.

The Kimball's in Carlisle has a much better feel than Westford. The goats look so sad in Westford.

I too used to be a big fan of the mocha chip but recently converted to chocolate chip (with sprinkles). You cannot go wrong with a standard, and their strawberry and chocolate are great as well.

I used to be a raspberry chocolate chip girl myself- but broke the habit. I love their grapenut, german chocolate fudge, their chocolate raspberry, chocolate peanut butter cookie dough and their vanilla peanut butter cup. OH-and their Vanilla Swiss Almond- no where else compares on that one.

In season I love their Pumpkin as well.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl - I am not a huge fan of chocolate ice cream but theirs is BY FAR the best ever version - I can't seem to get anything else in spite of good intentions every time...

I used to get that one alot. This year when i got it there was no peanut butter swirl but the peanut butter was IN the chocolate. They call it Chocolate Peanut Butter and its all one tone/color/consistancy. Wasnt what i was remembering...

Yes, I was going to say raspberry chocolate chip as well. Their regular chocolate chip is good, too.

The lobster roll is a pretty good value, too.

I will have to try that one again. Last week we got a Black Raspberry chocolate chip frozen yougart that was really tasty

they do have great onion rings and fried seafood. We will get a fish&chips and onion rings and its more than enough for 2 to split.

Yes - Westford location only of course. I really like the fish also, and my daughter loves the clam strips.

They have the ultimate cookies and cream. It's the only ice cream stand flavor I'll buy in a quart to bring home.

My favs are:
Coconut almond chip
Coffee Oreo
I used to like vanilla peanut butter cup but dont seem to get that too often anymore.

When in season (fall):
I ALWAYS get gingersnap molasses
We even buy quarts of it to take home, as do many of my friends. I think its their BEST flavor, too bad its only around in the fall (and sometimes sold out)

If you're a vanilla fan, I say try the vanilla at Bedford Farms, I really think it's creamier and better textured.
