Help - Halifax waterfront event venue

Hi - I'm trying to find a venue for a small July event (35 - 50 people) and am managing this from another province. Any recommendations for a waterfront restaurant or bar that could accommodate a private, early evening, come and go reception with appetizers and bar service. I would also be willing to cater if it's a unique venue that doesn't have food/bev on site. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I was at the Hart and Thistle Pub on Thursday and there seemed to be this type of thing going on there.
