Restaurant suggestion

I will be in Philly for the weekend and am looking for places to eat that have a large vegetarian (fish included) selection. Healthier food would also be nice, but I know that can be hard to find.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

seconded. i haven't been to fish yet, but little fish served up some of the best meals i've had here. horizons definitely can't be beat for vegetarian (vegan) fare. i haven't yet been to thoreau, but biking by it the other day there's a sign hanging saying closed for renovations? already?

where in philly are you staying? if west philly isn't too far out of your way, there are some tasty ethiopian places out that way, and a little takeout deli with an amazing tofu hoagie which you can take down to clark park for a picnic...

Thoreau is closed permanently (already). I'll third the Fish and Horizons recs. Fish isn't as high up on my list of faves as it is a lot of other people's, it's very good, but only if you want to eat fish. Vegetarian options are scant, their current menu has no vegetarian entrees and only one vegetarian appetizer, a salad. If you want more vegetarian options, head to Zahav, which is our city's best restaurant in my opinion. Don't miss Horizons, though, even meat-eaters love it there.

whaaaat... that makes it the second resto in that location i haven't gotten to before its doors closed! cursed, that spot?!

yeah, zahav is one of my current faves too... the hummus masbacha, fried cauliflower and crispy haloumi... perhaps not healthy food, but freakin delicious.
