Seriously, I've heard a few people mention that they like Flatbread Pizza Company, although I've never been (and coming from Chicago, I'm skeptical of most pizza claims around here). Today I saw there is one nearby Lexington in Bedford, next to The Melting Pot and Bamboo where I was having a going away lunch for a co-worker (mediocre all-you-can-eat sushi). YMMV...

Flatbread Co. is OK - thin crust pizza cooked in a wood fired oven with organic ingredients. I like the flavor the oven imparts, but am not in love with the sauce. It's a bit too heavy on the oregano for my taste. I like the straight Neapolitan pizza, but some of the toppings are odd. My husband loves the sausage pizza, but it is so sweet I can't eat more than one small piece. The salads are ridiculously expensive but they have some nice organic beer on tap and a good bottle selection.

Agreed. We also like iChef in Arlington Heights. They deliver to East Lexington.

Thanks for the recs of both Nicola's and iChef. We just moved to the Heights and we are DESPERATE for good pizza. We will try both within the next couple of weeks.

      2. Actually the best pizza I've had in Lexington is Upper Crust (one of their better locations), but by the slice. They re-crisp it in the oven so it's well done and much better than fresh.

        1. Not exactly in Lexington but Pizza Presti in Burlington where the Staples/former Tower Records/former EMS strip mall is. Mostly a take-out place, they use a cut-above-the-usual-pizza-place-quality cheese and meat.

Not exactly in Lexington, either, but Za in Arlington (close to Cambridge) is quite good.
