Best knife to use on ice cream cake?

To quote Patton Oswalt "you couldn't cut a Carvel ice cream cake with a goddamn lightsaber".

We're having a Carvel ice cream cake tomorrow. Would my Wusthof bread knife do the trick, or would the ice cream cake ruin the knife?

A sharp knife is helpful but if you put it in the refrigerator about half an hour before serving, almost any knife will work.

I suggest a regular straight-edge or scalloped (not serrated) knife, warmed in hot water, wiped, and then redipped in water and wiped between cuts. Worked for me the one time I needed to do this.
