Out of towner wants to play tourist in LA/Hollywood/Beverly Hills
Need your help on a couple items...I have co-worker visiting from Georgia in July. I've never met her in person, but she has requested I show her LA. I never do touristy LA things so I'm not sure where to start. She wants to do one of the Hollywood/LA/B. Hills tours on one of those buses or whatever and after the tour she wants to eat at some great LA hotspots where we might see a movie star.
1. Can you recommend one of those tours
2. Can you recommend where to eat to see the stars
I realize the food question is very broad, but she says she is not picky & likes everything.
Hoping you have some good suggestions for both.
Thanks!

The Ivy on Robertson sounds like what she wants (even though the food is mediocre at best). I've seen lots of incognito movie stars at Joan's on Third (which has MUCH better food), but you couldn't count on one being there for sure.

Chowhound has a very narrow mission--where to find deliciousness. General travel planning questions, like where to stay or what else to do while visiting a town, are off topic for our boards. Please keep your replies focused on helping the poster find great chow, as off topic replies will be removed.
