Just moved to Oreland...
We just moved to Oreland and I am in need of some standard recommendations; pizza, chinese, casual eatery, etc. I tried Tequila Joe's and it was ok, but not all to my liking. Thanks!

I second Seagulls on the suggestion of Union Jack's for great wings and beer selection... It will be our spot for most of the Stanley Cup games.
Also, I love, love, love Joe's Meat Market in Ardsley for fresh meats, as well as deli items. Its very neighborhoody, great prices, and the quality is excellent.
Try Saffron Kitchen in Ambler for excellent Indian food... eat in at the BYOB or take out.
For a more upscale meal, I would suggest Trax Cafe in Ambler or Bridget's or Na Brasa in Horsham.
Can't remember the place in Dresher (old Carambola space) that serves up a decent breakfast all day long... Anyone?-----

Just got back from Jack Frosts. Had the cheessteak for the first time and it was great. Really good roll. Their burgers are flame broiled. You can smell them a block away. Yummm. Their giant hot dogs at $2.50 are a good deal. I can't believe I'm making myself hungry and I just ate.
I think the place in the old Carambolas is the West End Grill. I had breakfast there 2 weeks ago and it was good.

Pizza Box on Limekiln Pike, the best around. Jack Frost (Like a Dairy Queen but better) for Ice cream and Hot Dogs also Limekiln and Mt. Carmel. Union Jack for best wings and a great selection of beer. Jasmine on Easton rd in (South) Glenside. for good chinese (has some consistency problems). Kitchen Bar in Abington for upscale Tavern great vibe, really good burgers. Drake Tavern in Jenkintown. We just did The Shanachie (shan a key), Irish Pub in Ambler last night and was very impressed. Joe's Market (old fashion butcher shop) on Jenkintown rd for any cut of fresh fresh meat cut to order and prices at or below supermarket, plus pies and great luncheon meats.
