Pie at a diner

So I have this fantasy of going to a diner late night for a really good piece of pie like they do in the movies.

Does this exist?

I'd prefer Hollywood/Los Feliz/Silverlake/Downtown...

Four N 20 on Laurel Canyon Blvd., excellent pie selection with many seasonal offerings (read Strawberry-Chocolate Creme Pie!). I had a chance to try the lemon pie along with my slice of dutch apple, both of which were excellent. The waiter offered to have my pie heated up so I did a la mode (ice cream wasn't spectacular but got the job done, and besides the pie is the centerpiece!)

Pie and Burger in Pasadena has the best pie in California. But... not open very late.

The Apple Pan in West LA has some great Pie and Burgers and is open late.

I have not had it in a while, but always loved the Apple Pie ala Mode at the Original Pantry Downtown. I like mine with the whiskey sauce and chocolate ice cream.
