Anything near Macedonia, OH for lunch?

I am meeting someone I haven't seen for a long time for lunch. And Macedonia is about half way. Anything not terribly far from 271 in that area. I am expecting we will sit and chat for awhile so maybe a pleasant place for visiting is more important than the food. Also is there a nice park or downtown to walk around nearby as well? Thank you for any advice.

If you're looking for nice ambiance and a place to walk around you might try Hudson, OH which is 15 minutes from Macedonia. It has a nice downtown for walking and more local restaurants/coffee shops than the 271 area of Macedonia. Downtown 140 was recently featured in the food issue of Cleveland magazine where it placed #2 in the Best Appetizers category. (I haven't eaten there but it is on my list) I'd give you directions but I don't know which way you would be coming from.

Downtown 140 is one of my favorite restaurants. Sadly, the chef has announced he's leaving to open a new place down the block in the former Vue space. I don't know if he's left yet or what will be happening at Downtown 140 after he goes.

If you'll be here on a Sunday, think about Blue Canyon in Twinsburg, on route 82 at 480 (you can get there by exiting 271 at Macedonia and going a couple miles east on 82). Really terrific food but unfortunately not open for lunch on a daily basis. On Sundays they have a brunch and then a tavern menu in the afternoon.

The Cuyahoga Valley National Park is right nearby for great walking.

If you want to shift your rendezvous a bit farther north to the Chagrin Blvd./Beachwood area, you can go to Moxie. Yum, yum, yum -- though not in a good walking-around place, unless you go east on Chagrin to Eton shopping area, or north on Richmond to Legacy Village.
